Mario E. Abdennour, DMD
Endodontic Specialist
Dr. Mario Abdennour is a microscope-trained endodontist who specializes in conventional non-surgical root canal treatment as well as surgical root canal treatment. Dr. Abdennour graduated from Washington University School of Dental Medicine, where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1989. He was given the “outstanding clinical ability” award. Following his dental degree, he attended a postgraduate general practice residency at a U.S.C.-affiliated hospital in California, graduating in 1990. He practiced dentistry in California for a total of eight years.
In 1997, he entered a three-year Advanced Graduate Endodontic Program at Harvard University School of Dental Medicine, receiving his Specialty Certificate in Endodontics and a Master in Medical Sciences in Oral Biology in 2000. Dr. Abdennour currently holds a faculty appointment as a clinical instructor at the Advanced Graduate Endodontic Program at Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where he teaches surgical and non-surgical Endodontics. He has been lecturing Harvard Dental students annually, as well as local component State Dental Societies in the areas of Endodontic Surgery and Non-Vital Intracoronal Bleaching.
Dr. Abdennour is a member of the Real World Endo board of advisors, conducting lectures and seminars on Precision-Based Endodontics in the USA and Quebec, Canada. Dr. Abdennour is currently the Vice-President of the Massachusetts Association of Endodontists, a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, the Harvard Odontological Society, and the American Academy of Dental Sciences.
